- Polish Pottery: Warsaw Old Town
- Polish attire: Warsaw
- Glass decorative eggs: Krakow Main Market
- Shot glasses & liquor flasks: Warsaw Old Town
- Cool coffee / tea mugs: Krakow Main Market
- Jewish souvenirs and Kabbalistic items: Krakow Jewish center (go to the shop in the Hamsa building or the bookstore located NEXT to the museum for the best prices -- everything in the bookstore is marked up and there are less cool things to buy)
Public Transportation:
- Warsaw: super confusing, I got lost for 2:45 (yes 2 hours and 45 minutes) trying to get to a location that was 13 minutes away by car. This may clean up when the underground construction finishes, but during my travels it was hell.
- Krakow: super easy, but the city is also small enough to get just about anywhere by foot.
Random notes:
- Unlike Italy, the water from the faucets and fountains here, is not drinkable.
- If you are going to go into every / most museums you need at least 4 days for Warsaw and 4 for Krakow. If you are only looking at the outside of all main sites and going into a few of the churches & synagogues you can do Warsaw and Krakow each in 2 days.
- If you are looking for bonding time with Jews and Jewish food, Krakow is better than Warsaw.
